  • 34 large cloves garlic
  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil or olive oil
  • 1.5 tablespoons toasted sesame oil
  • 1/3 cup low sodium tamari
  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 2 teaspoons rice vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 tablespoon tapioca starch
  • 1/4 cup low sodium vegetable broth

Instructions

  1. Drain and rinse the chickpeas; set aside.
  2. Mince garlic and sauté in a pan with avocado or olive oil until fragrant.
  3. In a small bowl, mix tapioca starch with half of the vegetable broth until smooth.
  4. Add tamari, sesame oil, maple syrup, rice vinegar, ground ginger, and remaining broth to the pan; whisk together.
