  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 2 (1 oz) bottles of red food coloring

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F.
  2. For the crust, mix graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter in a bowl and press into a springform pan.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in cocoa powder, sour cream, buttermilk, vanilla extract, and vinegar until combined. Add red food coloring and mix well.
  5. Pour filling into the crust and bake for 10 minutes at 325°F; reduce to 300°F and bake for an additional hour and 15 minutes or until set.
  6. Cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  7. Prepare frosting by beating cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth; spread on cooled cheesecake.
