  • 6 brioche hamburger buns (buttered + toasted)
  • 30g ketchup
  • 3g Kosher salt
  • 3g ground black pepper
  • 8g cornstarch

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the lean ground beef for about 1 minute without stirring. Then break it up and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté the diced onions, bell peppers, and minced mushrooms until browned.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine beef broth, cornstarch, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper; stir until smooth.
  4. Pour the sauce into the skillet with the sautéed vegetables and simmer for 3–5 minutes until thickened.
  5. Return the browned beef to the skillet and mix well with the sauce; stir in provolone cheese until melted.
  6. Butter and toast each brioche bun before generously filling them with the beef mixture.
