  • 2 jars maraschino cherries (10 ounces each)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 2 tablespoons maraschino cherry juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare a loaf pan.
  2. In one bowl, mix sugar, milk, oil, egg, and almond extract.
  3. In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Drain and chop cherries; fold them into the batter.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 50–60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Allow cooling before glazing with a mixture of powdered sugar, melted butter, cherry juice, and additional almond extract.
