Instructions

  1. Prepare the chocolate cake according to the package instructions or your favorite recipe. Allow it to cool completely before cutting into cubes.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whip together heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
  3. If using canned cherries, drain and reserve some juice; if using fresh cherries, pit and slice them. Combine with cherry juice in a bowl.
